Although a wounded soldier’s hospitalization is covered by the U. S. government, there are often hidden costs, delays and gaps in assistance during and after recovery. Governmental agencies typically do not provide for the cost of: 

• State-of-the-art prosthetics and specialized adaptive equipment 
• Family support during hospitalization and recovery
• Proper PTSD and suicide prevention programs
• Compassionate mentoring for children of the fallen
• Service dogs for the disabled
